The current incarnation, which turned 23 in 2012, is a commercial publishing company that releases about 50 titles each year on a diverse range of topics including literary and popular fiction, history, biography, art, poetry, food, wine, the environment, education and true life (ordinary people in extraordinary situations). Wakefield Press’s quality backlist is currently around 500, and our ebook list continues to grow rapidly.

We distribute our own titles, as well as those of a small selection of overseas and local publishers, to book shops and sell direct to the public via our own bookshop located at 1 The Parade West, Kent Town, in South Australia.
